about

"Kill The Piano" is an ongoing project. I am working on a solo piano concerto with a grand piano versus a modular synthesizer system. The modular will sample my live piano playing, loop it, modulate it, play it back in a different way which will be an interactive feedback loop for my playing.

This record documents the evolution and work towards this goal. My testing of different modular setups, microphones, feedback patterns, playing techniques and effects. Whenever something feels like a step forward it will appear here.

For me this is a fun journey, and I would love to take you with me in this land of sonic explorations.

Thank you Uta for letting my do my thing. All tracks were recorded at my homestudio in Iserlohn. Thank you Steinway & Sons for building this wonderful grand piano I work with.
